Several Utah baseball players are competing in summer collegiate leagues throughout the country. Below is a list with a summery of their seasons so far, along with links to find more information.
Nick Kuroczko and Devin Walker
Vienna Senators (Clark Griffith Collegiate League)
The Senators (23-5) are ranked sixth in the nation by Perfect Game Crosschecker. Kuroczko leads the Clark Griffith league with a .347 batting average, including 23 RBI. He was selected to the All-Star team and had an RBI double to help the CGI team to a 10-6 win. Walker is hitting .228 in 16 starts with three doubles and two home runs.
C.J. Cron and Andrew Wilding
San Luis Obispo Blues (Independent)
The Blues, with a 29-7 record, are ranked 12th in the country by PG Crosschecker. Cron, who was named to the California Collegiate League All-Star team, is hitting .366 with 16 RBI. Wilding has a 0.00 ERA in six appearances and 14.2 innings pitched. He has allowed only one unearned run this season.
Cooper Blanc and Michael Beltran
Holyoke Blue Sox (New England Collegiate Baseball League)
Blanc and Beltran are regular starters for the Blue Sox. Beltran is hitting .254 in 21 games with three doubles and a triple. Blanc leads the team with nine stolen bases. He was selected to compete in the 60-yard dash competition held at the NECBL's all-star game.
Gavin Green
Dubois County Bombers (Prospect League)
Green was named to the Prospect League All-Star team. Through 30 games, he is hitting .319 with 38 hits, 10 doubles and 14 stolen bases.
Bryn Card
Kelowna Falcons (West Coast Collegiate Baseball League)
Card has made five appearances (three starts) for the Falcons. He is 2-2 with a 2.52 ERA and 21 strikeouts.
Nik Gumeson
Swift Current Indians (Western Major Baseball League, Canada)
Gumeson leads the Indians with 31 RBI, nine home runs and 11 doubles. He is hitting .299.
