Cron, Kinneberg Earn Honors

SALT LAKE CITY - Preseason All-America honors continue to roll in for Utah baseball player C.J. Cron, while head coach Bill Kinneberg has been recognized as the Developmental Coach of the Year by USA Baseball.
Cron was a first-team preseason All-America pick by College Baseball Lineup, while earning second-team honors from the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper. Last week he was named as a first-team preseason All-American by the NCBWA.
Kinneberg coached the 2010 USA Baseball Collegiate National Team to a silver medal at the FISU World University Championship this past summer. He is in his eighth season at Utah.
Utah opens its 2011 baseball season at Cal on Feb. 18.
