Seven Utes Named to MWC All-Academic Volleyball Team

SALT LAKE CITY - The University of Utah placed 44 student-athletes on the Mountain West Conference 2009 All-Academic team for the fall semester, including seven volleyball players.
Senior Cinthia Silva, juniors Karolina Bartkowiak, Keisha Fisher, Stephanie Neeley, and sophomores Sarah Hibbert, Danielle Killpack and Abby Simmons from the Ute volleyball team were all recognized.
A total of 384 student-athletes were named to the Fall 2009 Academic All-Mountain West Conference team. Fall sports include men's and women's cross country, football, women's soccer and women's volleyball. To be eligible for selection, student-athletes must have completed at least one academic term at the member institution while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better, and be a starter or significant contributor on their athletic team.
