Upcoming Event: Track & Field versus NCAA First Round on May 28, 2026

SALT LAKE CITY - The University of Utah track and field team will be competing at the Husky Classic in Seattle, Wash., and the Iowa State Classic in Ames, Iowa., this weekend. The majority of distance runners will be competing in Iowa on Friday and Saturday, with the remainder of the team competing at the Husky Classic.
Last week, the Utes competed at the Mountain State Games in Pocatello, Idaho. Sophomore Langley Iverson won the high jump with a new personal record of 5-8. Freshman Amanda Mergaert won the Invitational 800m race, finishing in 2:13.89 (altitude adjusted time). Freshman Angela Kaplar placed second overall in the 60m hurdles with a new personal best of 8.75.
Brianna LeRoy competed in the Pentathlon event, collecting a total of 3419 points, which is a new personal best and all-time seventh in school history.
Utah's distance medley relay team comprised of Adrienne Wilson, Lauryn McKay, Nikki Dotter and Mergaert, placed third with a time of 12:14.04 (altitude adjusted time), which is the fourth best time ever run by a Utah team.
In the weight throw, senior Sarah Grimm earned second place with a mark of 56-7.5
