SALT LAKE CITY - The Utah baseball team will be looking to get back on track on Tuesday against Utah Valley after struggling over the weekend against UNLV. The Utes and Wolverines play in Orem at 6:00 p.m.
"We need to play well and get back on the winning track," head coach Bill Kinneberg said. "Our whole team has a challenge to bounce back after a poor performance this weekend. We need to get our guys feeling good, particularly at the plate. Utah Valley is very good offensively, so Andrew (Wilding) has a challenge ahead of him tomorrow in their ballpark."
Wilding is 2-2 on the year with a 4.18 ERA. He picked up the win last Wednesday against Southern Utah.
The Utes have struggled with Utah Valley this year, dropping a pair of games against the Wolverines in Salt Lake City, 6-4 and 10-8.
Utah Valley is coming off a four-game sweep of North Dakota over the weekend. Tuesday starter CJ Healey has only pitched three innings for UVU so far this season with a 6.00 ERA and one strikeout.
