SALT LAKE CITY - The Utah baseball team plays its final mid-week game of the season on Tuesday against Southern Utah. Game time is at 3:00 p.m. MT in Cedar City. Live stats and audio can be found at UtahUtes.com.
Utah will start Andrew Wilding on the mound. Wilding (3-2, 4.03 ERA) is coming off a win over Utah Valley last Tuesday. He had a season-high seven strikeouts in that game. SUU's starter had not been announced at press time.
The Utes defeated Southern Utah back on April 7, 15-7, in Salt Lake City. C.J. Cron had two home runs and three for six RBI in the game to lead the Utes, while every player in the lineup had at least one hit.
Utah struggled with timely hitting against San Diego State over the weekend, but bounced back after dropping the first two games of the series to win game three with a ninth-inning rally, 5-4.
Southern Utah is coming off a four-game split against Oral Roberts. The Thunderbirds won the final game of the series on Saturday, 11-0.
