SALT LAKE CITY - The Utah baseball team travels north for the weekend to play nationally-ranked TCU in Ogden, Utah, at Lindquist Field. The first game is Friday, April 30, at 6:00 p.m. Saturday's game will be aired live on CBS College Sports. All games are free of charge.
TCU is ranked in all four major polls, standing as high as eighth in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association poll. The Horned Frogs earned their 30th win of the season on Sunday following a three-game sweep of UNLV. TCU is 30-8 overall and 11-3 in the MWC.
"They are really talented with their pitching and their offense, probably more than they have ever been," head coach Bill Kinneberg said. "Their starting pitching is as good as it gets. It's a great opportunity for us. It's going to be a great challenge."
The Utes went 1-2 last weekend against BYU, with a solid win in game two but heartbreaking late-inning losses in the other two games.
"We need to bounce back," Kinneberg said. "We were able to do that on Friday after a really tough loss on Thursday. We need to have a couple good days of practice and regroup this weekend."
