SALT LAKE CITY - The Utah baseball team hopes to carry the momentum of its three-game series sweep of Air Force into a Tuesday, April 6 contest against Southern Utah. The game begins at 6:30 p.m. at Spring Mobile Ballpark.
The Utes have dropped both of their Tuesday games this season, falling to Utah Valley on March 23 and 30.
"We need to play well," head coach Bill Kinneberg said. "We need to continue to get better and get ready for the weekend."
Utah went to 5-1 in the MWC on the year with its three-game sweep of Air Force.
SUU is 6-19 on the year. The Thunderbirds picked up two of their wins in their last series, splitting a four-game set against Utah Valley. Joe Goldenberg leads SUU with a .439 batting average, 18 RBI and a .737 slugging percentage.
Andrew Wilding (1-2, 4.33 ERA) will start on the mound for Utah. Southern Utah's starter had not been released at press time.
