For the sixth time in school history and the third-straight season, the Utah football team has finished the season ranked in the top 25. Utah, 10-3, is No. 23 in the final USA Today Coaches' poll, while finishing one place out of the Associated Press rankings. Utah was first among the "others receiving votes" in the A.P. poll.
The Utes were ranked as high as fifth in the nation in the BCS standings before losing to then No. 3 TCU on Nov. 6. The Horned Frogs finished second in both polls, tying Utah's Mountain West Conference record for highest national finish. The 2008 Sugar Bowl champion Utes were ranked second in the final A.P. rankings after their 13-0 season.
