Utah senior pitcher Stephen Streich will be sharing his thoughts throughout the season on UtahUtes.com in `The Streich Zone.'

Few rivalries in sports can match the intensity of Utah vs. BYU.

Yankees-Red Sox? Yawn.

Lakers- Celtics? Has anything cool every happened between these two teams?

I can honestly say I think Utah-BYU is the only rivalry in sports where a Ute cheerleader has been seen beating up a BYU fan in the endzone during a football game. (For the record, Utah won that fight. Go Utes!)

Now I'm not condoning fighting or anything of the sort, but there is something about this rivalry that just seems to bring out the best (or worst) in people. Crazy what a rivalry can make grown men say.

BYU comes to town this weekend to start conference play. Let the rivalry live on.
