SALT LAKE CITY - The Utah baseball team will hold a pair of fall intersquad scrimmages at Spring Mobile Ballpark. The Utes will scrimmage on Friday, Sept. 30 and Friday, Oct. 7, both at 3:00 p.m. Both scrimmages are free and open to the public.
"We've had two good weeks of team practice, getting guys in shape, and we are starting to progress to scrimmages," Utah head coach Bill Kinneberg said. "With 14 new guys, scrimmages are very valuable to us in trying to figure out where we are at."
Top players returning for the Utes for their first season in the Pac-12 include outfielder Shaun Cooper, shortstop James Brooks, starting pitcher Zach Adams and reliever Tyler Wagner.
