The Utah baseball team has spent the last few weeks in fall practice.
"After three weeks of team practice, we've really had a great effort on the field and in the weight room," Utah head coach Bill Kinneberg said. "With 19 new players, there is much more teaching going on, and our scrimmages have been very productive for us both on the offensive and defensive side. What we're trying to accomplish is that at the end of the 27 practices, we are ready to play a baseball game. We're getting very close."
Key returners for the 2013 campaign include senior pitchers Joe Pond and Brock Duke, as well as two-year starting third baseman Trey Nielsen.
