TULSA, Okla. - The University of Utah men's tennis team wrapped up its second tournament of the season, the ITA All-American Championships, Friday at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.
Sophomore Slim Hamza advanced to the round of 16 after capturing two victories in the first and second rounds Thursday, the first main-draw victories Utah has seen at the tournament since at least 1985. He was unable to capture a third win and dropped a 6-2, 6-2 decision to Virginia's sixth-seeded Alex Domijan in the round of 16.
The Utes return to action at the Liberty Park Tennis Center for the Utah Intercollegiates, Oct. 11-13, in Salt Lake City.
