Utah Softball Opens Home Season with Doubleheader Against Southern Utah

SALT LAKE CITY - The University of Utah softball team will open its home season with a doubleheader against Southern Utah on Wednesday at Ute Softball Field. The first game will start at 2 p.m., and the second contest will begin 30 minutes after the conclusion of game one.
Originally scheduled as a single game, the Utes will now play two against SUU after their Mar. 7 contest against BYU was cancelled.
The play-by-play call of Wednesday's action will be provided by the voice of the Utah Softball, Gavin McAllister, at utahutes.com. Live stats will be provided by Gametracker as well.
Utah (19-5) went 4-2 last weekend at the Florida Gulf Coast Spring Break Invitational and are coming off a 9-3 home campaign in 2011.
