SALT LAKE CITY - The Utah baseball team takes to the road this weekend to face Arizona State in a three-game series beginning on Friday, May 4, at 6:30 p.m. MT.
All three games of the series will be shown online through FoxSportsArizona.com.
Utah (12-30, 6-15 Pac-12) won two of four games last week, beginning with a 15-4 win over Southern Utah before taking one of three from Washington over the weekend. After dropping game one, 9-1, the Utes had their third shutout of the season in a 6-0 win in game two over the Huskies, and nearly completed a ninth-inning rally in game three's 7-6 loss.
Utah has seven players on its roster from the state of Arizona.
The Utes do not have a midweek game for the first time since mid-March due to finals.
Arizona State (26-17, 11-10 Pac-12) is ranked 20th in the latest Baseball America poll. The Sun Devils won two of three against Washington State last weekend.
The Utes face off with former Utah head coach and current ASU head coach Tim Esmay. Esmay coached at Utah from 1997 to 2004, earning a record of 213-235-1 during his eight seasons.
