SALT LAKE CITY - The Utah baseball team closes out its nine-game home stand on Tuesday, April 10, against Utah Valley, in Spring Mobile Ballpark at 6:00 p.m.
The Utes (8-22, 4-8 Pac-12) won one of three from fourth-ranked Arizona during last weekend's conference matchup. After falling in game one, 11-2, the Utes rallied in the late innings to win game two, 7-6. In game three, Utah overcame a 7-0 deficit to tie the game at 7-7 in the fifth inning before falling 11-7.
Utah Valley is on a 10-game winning streak after sweeping North Dakota over the weekend. Included in that stretch is a 5-4 victory over Arizona. The Wolverines are 17-11 overall.
Ben Mordini will start on the mound for Utah, while the Wolverines will start Jeremy Glendlek.
The Utes hit the road this weekend, kicking off a seven-game road swing at Washington State beginning on Friday, April 13.
