University Center, Mich. - Saginaw Valley State University director of athletics Mike Watson announced Thursday (May 17) the hiring of Randy Baruth as the eighth head coach in the 42-year history of the Saginaw Valley State University men's basketball program. The South Dakota native joins the SVSU family after spending the past season as the Director of Player Development at the University of Utah.
"Coach Baruth is a relentless worker with a good basketball mind. He is very organized and detail oriented. We wish him well as he takes on this new challenge," stated Utah Head Coach Larry Krystkowiak.
