WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - Utah baseball players James Brooks and Parker Morin have each been named honorable mention selections on the All-Pac-12 team.
Brooks, a two-year starter at shortstop, hit .304 for the Utes and led the Pac-12 with 21 doubles. He finished fourth in the league with 10 home runs and was ninth with a .529 slugging percentage. The senior was a second-team all-Mountain West Conference pick last year.
Morin led Utah with a .314 batting average, 35 RBI, and tied for the team lead with Brooks with 69 hits in his first season as a Ute. He led the Pac-12 with 33 runners caught stealing. A junior college transfer, Morin had 11 doubles, three home runs, and a triple.
Utah finished its first season in the Pac-12 with a 14-42 record, going 7-23 in the conference.
