While the Utah men's basketball team prepares for the 2013-14 season, UtahUtes.com will spotlight its new members in a weekly segment, `Getting to Know U.'
Today's spotlight is on freshman guard Kenneth Ogbe. Ogbe hails from Ehingen, Germany where he played in one of the country's top leagues. An athletic perimeter player at 6-foot-6, he was a member of the German national squad that participated in the 2011 Nike Global Challenge. He also competed in the German High School National Championships and was named MVP at the Arby's Classic in Bristol, Tennessee this past summer.
What is your favorite sport besides basketball?
Soccer, and my favorite team is Bayern Munich

What do you like to do when you are not playing basketball?
Hanging out with my friends and watching movies

Why did you choose Utah? What is the best thing about Utah?
I just felt comfortable with the coaching staff and the players on the team. So far the experience has just been incredible
Who had the biggest influence in your life?
My mother. She's such a hard worker and she tries to make everyone happy. That's how I try to live my life
What is your favorite thing about Salt Lake City?
The friendly people

Everyone has been very helpful to me since I arrived here. I couldn't ask for a better set of teammates

The way he speaks to us and his ability to communicate
