Utah Tennis Wraps Up Play at ITA All-American Championships

TULSA, Okla. - The University of Utah men's tennis team's juniors Slim Hamza and Cedric Willems advanced through the doubles qualifying draw of the ITA All-American Championships to the fourth round of competition Wednesday at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center. The duo captured a victory in the third round, upsetting the seventh-seeded team, but were unable to find success in the fourth round.
Hamza and Willems started the day strong, upsetting the seventh-seeded Ignacio Gonzalez-Muniz and Oliver Pramming of South Florida, 8-7(5). In the fourth round, the Utes dropped an 8-5 decision to Southern Methodist's Nate Lammons and Alex Sanders.
Catch the Utes back in action at home as they host the Utah Intercollegiates next weekend.
