Former Ute Cron Named to All-Star Futures Game

Former Utah baseball player C.J. Cron has been selected to the 2013 All-Star Futures Game.
The All-Star Futures Game features the top minor league prospects competing in a nine-inning contest as part of All-Star Sunday on July 14. The game will begin at 2:00 p.m. (EDT) and can be viewed live on ESPN2 and MLB.com.
Cron, who leads the Double-A Arkansas Travelers in batting average (.292) and RBI (44), was also selected as a starter for the Texas League All-Star Game.
MLB.com rates Cron as the No. 3 prospect in the Los Angeles Angels organization. The former All-American was a first-round draft pick in 2011.
