Bennett Named SCCBL Hitter of the Month

Utah rising senior TJ Bennett was recently named as the Southern California Collegiate Baseball League Hitter of the Month for June.

Bennett, who is playing with the Palm Springs Power, hit .369 in May and June with 20 RBI and scored a league-leading 22 runs. He is 17-of-20 in stolen bases, ranking fourth in the league, and leads the team in hits (31), doubles (7) and total bases (43). Bennett has committed one error in 57 chances at third base.

Last season with the Utes, Bennett hit .236 with seven doubles, three triples and two home runs. He had a .357 slugging percentage.
