Utah redshirt freshman Gage Matuszak was recently named to the Far West League All-Star game.
Matuszak, who is playing with the Redding Colt 45s, is hitting .305 for the summer with 11 doubles and 27 RBI. He has nine stolen bases. Matuszak started at first base in the all-star game. He also participated in the home run derby and was one of two players to make it to the final round.
