Utah rising senior TJ Bennett was recently named the Southern California Collegiate Baseball League Hitter of the Year.
Bennett set Palm Springs Power single-season records with 40 RBI, 63 hits, 12 doubles and 172 at-bats. He ranks second all-time in the Power record books with 45 hits and 28 walks and his 27 stolen bases ranks fifth all-time. Bennett hit .366 with two home runs for the summer.
Earlier this season, Bennett was named the SCCBL Hitter of the Month for June and was also selected to the SCCBL All-Star game.

Last season with the Utes, Bennett hit .236 with seven doubles, three triples and two home runs. He had a .357 slugging percentage.
