Utah Baseball Prepares for Fall Scrimmage at UNLV

As fall baseball practice continues, the Utes will shake things up this week with a scrimmage at UNLV on Saturday, Oct. 18.

"Practice is progressing well. We've had a few minor injuries to our catching position, so that's been difficult, but it's given other guys opportunities to catch a lot. We are set to go for this weekend and we are looking forward to playing UNLV - playing somebody else and competing a little differently than we have over the fall. Saturday's game will be fun."

Kinneberg is looking forward to seeing what the Utes can do against outside competition.

"It's a whole new ball game with playing a different team. It will be an actual competition. It's always good to see your team and how they react and perform and to see where our strengths and weaknesses are. After this weekend we will have two weeks left of team practice to make some corrections, I think we are all looking forward to Saturday. "

Utah has five intrasquad scrimmages remaining at Ute Field through October.
