With baseball season right around the corner, UtahUtes.com will introduce you to the new players on the team in 'Getting to Know.' Today's spotlight is Trenton Stoltz out of Paradise Valley HS in Phoenix, Ariz.
What is your favorite baseball memory?
Pitching as a sophomore on senior night and throwing a complete game, and knocking our rival out of the playoffs.
What is your favorite sport besides baseball?
Hockey
What do you like to do when you are not playing baseball?
Play ping pong, video games and hang out with friends.
Do you have a nickname?
Trent.
Why did you choose Utah? What is the best thing about Utah?
The great coaches and teammates, and it's in the Pac-12. Also, the awesome city and getting out of Arizona.
Who has been the biggest influence in your life and why?
My Uncle Ron, who passed away in 2013.
My favorite thing about Salt Lake City is:
The beautiful scenery and cool weather.
What are your goals for this year?
To earn a starting spot in the rotation and help the team start a winning tradition.
What are your pregame superstitions?
I warm up the same way every time.
What is your major and what do you want to do after you graduate?
Business is my major. After I graduate, outside of baseball, I want to start my own business.
