Athlon Sports Places Seven Utes on Preseason Teams

SALT LAKE CITY--
A second major preseason publication has selected Utah punter Tom Hackett and kicker Andy Phillips to its preseason all-Pac-12 first team. Athlon Sports joined Phil Steele in placing Hackett and Phillips on its first team and also predicted five other Utes would win all-conference honors.
Athlon named safety Eric Rowe to its second team, and receiver Dres Anderson and returner Geoffrey Norwood to its third team. Earning fourth-team recognition were defensive end Nate Orchard and safety Brian Blechen.
Rowe, Anderson, Orchard, Blechen and Norwood were also named to Phil Steele's all-conference teams, as was linebacker Jason Whittingham, offensive tackle Jeremiah Poutasi and running back Devontae Booker.
