Accomplishments:
Honorable Mention All-Division 1 (2014)
2.71 ERA in 41 innings pitched in 2014
5-2 record with 28 strike outs in nine games
Hit .357 with 14 RBI and five triples
Smith on why he chose Utah:
"I chose Utah because I felt like it would be the best place to live and get my education in the next few years. The coaches and players showed me a great time on my visit, and the other Arizona players made me feel at home on campus. I can't wait to get to Salt Lake City next year and become a Ute!"
Millennium High School Coach Ryan Bethel on Smith:
Grant has been a product of hard work and dedication, which we preach here at Millennium. He will be a mainstay in our rotation this year and will continue to be a bulldog on the mound. Besides his physical abilities on the field, Grant is a leader in the classroom and on our campus. I expect big things for Grant as he transitions on to college baseball. We are very pleased as a program as Grant is Millennium Baseball's first Pac-12 signee, and are excited for him on this opportunity."
