LAST TIME OUT
Utah picked up its first conference win of the season, downing Colorado 56-54 last Friday in Boulder.
After leading 26-24 at halftime, Utah came out of break going just 2-of-11 from the field, while the Buffs opened the second making eight of its first nine shots to take a seven-point lead, 41-34.
CU later led by as many as nine points with 10:28 left to play, but that is when Utah took over. Senior Jordan Loveridge connected on back-to-back three-pointers and sophomore Kyle Kuzma found an open-lane-dunk to pull Utah back within three, down 46-43. Junior Lorenzo Bonam had not scored at all in the second half until a pair of free throws with 6:11 left to play.
Utah closed out the game with a 13-4 run to escape Coors Events Center with a two-point victory. Bonam went on to score nine of Utah's final 13 points, which included the game-winning lay-up with 1.1 seconds left to play.

BONAM'S BRILLIANCE ON DISPLAY
Junior Lorenzo Bonam led the Utes with 17 points in the win at Colorado this past Friday, pouring in a career-high seven field goals on the night.
Bonam's 17-point effort was the junior college transfer's second-highest point total in a Utah uniform, following his 20-point effort against Texas Tech back on Nov. 19.
The Inkster, Mich., native set-up Utah's game-winning score with a stolen pass from the Buffs with 24 seconds left to play in regulation. Following a timeout, Bonam set-up a pick-and-roll play, then drove left of the basket where he scored the game-winning bucket.
Bonam's game-winner was later featured on ESPN Sports Center's Top-10 plays of the night.
