LAST TIME OUT
The Utes notched its second straight win this past Thursday, downing Washington State 92-71 at Beasley Coliseum in Pullman. Utah opened the contest with a quick dunk from sophomore Jakob Poeltl and never looked back en route to the 21-point victory. The Utes led by as many as 27 points and never trailed in the game.
Senior Jordan Loveridge recorded a game-high 22 points to notch his first 20-point effort since pouring in 21 points against San Diego State back on Nov. 16, and fellow senior Brandon Taylor posted a season-high 21 points. Both Loveridge and Taylor drained five three-pointers each.
Poeltl added 14 points, while junior Chris Reyes tallied seven points and a team-high six rebounds.
The Utes limited WSU's Josh Hawkinson to 16 points and just eight rebounds. It was just the fourth time all season that Hawkinson has played a game without recording a double-double.
The Utes, who finished shooting 55 percent from the field and 50 percent from downtown, notched 50 percent or better from both the field and three-point line for the third time this season.
STRIVE FOR 75
Senior Jordan Loveridge recorded a double-digit scoring effort for the 75th time in his career with his 22 points at Washington State on Thursday. The West Jordan native also notched his 13th 20-point game in the process.

Utah went 11-for-12 from the free throw line on Thursday, finishing the game with a season-high 91.7 percent effort from the charity stripe. BREAKING 90 IN CONFERENCE PLAY
Utah's 92-point effort against Washington State on Thursday was not only the Utes' most points scored in a Pac-12 game, but it also marked the first time that Utah scored 90 points or more in a conference game since a 94-88 overtime win over BYU back on Jan. 27, 2009, when the program was a member of the Mountain West Conference.

THREE UTES NAMES TO AWARD WATCH LISTS
Senior Brandon Taylor was one of 20 players named to the Julius Erving Award watch and senior Jordan Loveridge was one of 20 players named to the Karl Malone Award watch list in an announcement from the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame, back on Oct. 13.
Sophomore Jakob Poeltl was named to the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Award watch list on Oct. 16, while also being named to both the Naismith and Oscar Robertson National Player of the Year Award watch lists on Dec. 2.
Poeltl has also been named to the John R. Wooden Award watch list, which was released earlier this season. He is Utah's second player to be named to the Wooden preseason list in as many years, following in the footsteps of Delon Wright, who was a Wooden Award finalist last season.
POELTL NAMED A TWO-TIME PAC-12 POW
Sophomore Jakob Poeltl has been named the Pac-12 Men's Basketball Player of the Week twice this season, earning the honor on Nov. 23 and Dec. 21.
Poeltl joins Delon Wright as the only other player in school history to earn a Pac-12 weekly award twice in a career, but he is the first player to do so in the same season.
