The Utah Runnin' Utes (4-1, 0-0) host the Montana State Bobcats (5-2, 0-0) this Thursday, Dec. 1, at the Huntsman Center in Salt Lake City. Tip-off between the Utes and Bobcats is set for 7 p.m. MT.

The Utes are coming off its first loss of the 2016-17 campaign with a 69-58 defeat to Butler inside the Huntsman Center on Monday.
Junior
Kyle Kuzma led the Utes with 21 points, while senior
Lorenzo Bonam chipped in with 17 points on the evening. Kuzma registered his second double-double of the season, posting a team-high 10 rebounds in the contest.
ABOUT MONTANA STATE
The Bobcats are 5-2 on the season and coming off back-to-back wins over Arizona Christian (93-73) and Delaware State (91-66). MSU is a perfect 5-0 at home, but have dropped both contests that have been played on the road (at Washington State and at Rice).
Tyler Hall leads the Bobcats in scoring with 22.7 points per game. He shoots 44 percent (50-of-112) from the field, 42 percent (27-of-64) from the three-point line and a team-best 89 percent (32-of-36) from the free throw line. Zach Green (12.4) and Harald Frey (11.7) follow with double-digit scoring efforts.
Green leads the Bobcats on the boards with 6.6 rebounds per game. Frey has a team-best 33 assists on the season, while Quinton Everett has tallied a team-high eight steals.
The Bobcats are shooting 43 percent from the field, 38 percent from beyond the arc and 72 percent from the charity stripe as a team.
SERIES HISTORY
Utah and Montana State will meet for the first time since 2011 and just the second time since 1984 on Thursday. The Utes lead the all-time series 46-27, but Montana State took the last contest, 70-64, back on Nov. 19, 2011, in Salt Lake City.
Utah is 31-11 all-time when facing the Bobcats at home.
KRYSTKOWIAK EYES WIN NO. 100
Utah head coach
Larry Krystkowiak is one win shy from win No. 100 with the Utes. In his six seasons at the helm of the Utah men's basketball program, Krystkowiak has notched a record of 99-73.
Krystkowiak is 141-93 all-time, which includes a 42-20 coaching record in two seasons at Montana (2004-06).
DOUBLE DOWN
Utah has had at least three players score in double figures in four of its first five games this season. The Utes had a season-high six players post 10 points or more in a win over Concordia, while having four players pour in double-digit efforts against both Coppin State and UC Riverside. The Utes had three players score in double figures in the season-opener against Northwest Nazarene.
LEADING THE NATION
Utah opened the week leading the nation in five different NCAA statistical categories, which included defensive rebounding (40.25/game), total rebounds (53.75/game), rebound margin (+20.3), scoring margin (+37.0) and field goal percentage-defense (.277).
The Utes rank second nationally in scoring defense, having given up just 52.0 points per game to opposing teams.
DOUBLE-DOUBLES FOR BONAM AND DANIELS

Lorenzo Bonam and freshman
Devon Daniels notched their first career double-doubles in Utah's 85-67 win over UC Riverside this past Friday.
Bonam scored 21 points and pulled down 10 rebounds - both career-highs for the second-year player - while, Daniels poured in 14 points with 11 rebounds.
It was the first time Utah had multiple players record a double-double in a game since
Jakob Poeltl tallied 29 points/11 rebounds and
Jordan Loveridge posted 12 points/10 rebounds against California in the Pac-12 Tournament semifinals (3/11/16).
JOHNSON REGISTERS FIRST 10+ SCORING EFFORT
Freshman
Jayce Johnson tallied his first double-digit scoring effort of his career, pouring in 12 points on 5-of-7 shooting from the field and a 2-of-4 effort from the free throw line against UC Riverside this past Friday. Johnson is averaging 6.3 points per game and ranks second on the team with 9.3 rebounds.
KUZMA SEEING DOUBLE
Junior
Kyle Kuzma heads into the week averaging a double-double for the season with a team-best 16.6 points per game and 10.0 rebounds per game average. Kuzma is coming off a 21-point and 10-rebound effort against Butler.
ZAMORA SHINES IN WIN OVER COPPIN STATE

JoJo Zamora did it all for the Utes in Utah's 94-51 win over the Eagles last Friday night. Zamora paced Utah's offense with a game-high 22 points, while connecting on 6-of-12 from the field, 3-of-6 from downtown and 7-of-9 from the charity stripe.
Zamora registered three rebounds, dished out two assists and tallied a pair of steals in the win as well. He heads into the week ranked third on the team with a 13.3 points per game average. He leads all Utah players with five assists on the young season.
CLAMPING DOWN ON DEFENSE
Utah limited NNU (Nov. 12) to under 17 percent shooting on the night, which included giving up just four field goals and a 11.8 percent effort from the Crusaders in the second half. Utah allowed just 17 points to NNU in the second half.
Utah limited the Crusaders to just 37 points in the game, tying the third-fewest points given up to an opponent since 1980. It is the lowest amount of points given up since yielding just 36 points to Air Force back on Jan. 14, 2009.
