THE GAME
The Utah Runnin' Utes (6-1) hit the road to take on Big East foe Xavier (7-2) this Saturday, Dec. 10. Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m. EST (3:30 p.m. MST) at Cintas Center in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Saturday's contest will be televised live on Fox (Fox 13 locally). Joe Davis will call the action, while Jim Jackson provides color commentary for the game.
Additionally, the game can be found on the Utah Sports Radio Network (ESPN 700). Bill Riley will provide play-by-play, with the assistance of in-game analyst
Jimmy Soto.

Utah registered an 87-80 win over in-state foe, Utah Valley, at the Huntsman Center this past Tuesday.

• The Utes knocked down a season-high 45 percent effort from downtown, going 10-of-22 from beyond the arc.

JoJo Zamora led the Utes with 17 points off the bench. He was 4-of-8 from the field and a perfect 8-of-8 from the charity stripe, which included making all four of his free throw attempts in the last 18 seconds of the contest.

Tyler Rawson chipped in with 14 points, while going 4-for-5 from the three-point line.

ABOUT XAVIER
• The Musketeers opened the 2016-17 campaign with seven straight wins, but have dropped the past two games, which included a 68-66 loss to Colorado in Boulder, Colo., Wednesday evening.
• Three players from Xavier are averaging double-figures in scoring led by Trevon Bluiett's 19.3 points per game and 35 percent shooting effort from beyond the three-point line. Bluiett has scored 20 points or more in six of Xavier's nine contests this season and is coming off a 27-point effort against the Buffs.
• J.P. Macura ranks second on the team with 14.7 points per game and Edmond Sumner follows with a 14.6 points per game average.
• RaShid Gaston leads Xavier on the boards with 6.8 rebounds per game and Bluiett is close behind with 5.9 rebounds per game.
• Xavier has averaged 75.4 points and 41.2 rebounds per game on the season. The Musketeers are allowing 65.9 points and 31.2 rebounds per game to opposing squads.
• Xavier is shooting 44 percent from the field, while opposing teams have shot just under 42 percent. The Musketeers convert 31 percent from beyond the arc and give up 35 percent from downtown to opponents.

Saturday's contest between Utah and Xavier marks the first-ever meeting between the two teams.
UP NEXT
The Utes will have seven days before taking the court again when the team returns to the Huntsman Center next Saturday, Dec. 17, hosting Prairie View A&M.
Utah will then close out non-conference play the following week in Honolulu, Hawaii, participating in the Diamond Head Classic. The Utes open the tournament against San Francisco on Thursday, Dec. 22.
