LAST TIME OUT
Utah snapped a two-game skid with a 90-82 win over Washington this past Wednesday at the Huntsman Center. The Utes improved to 12-1 overall at home and has now won four straight inside the Huntsman Center. The victory gave Utah a season sweep over the Huskies for the first time since the program joined the Pac-12 in 2011.
UTAH IN PAC-12 PLAY
Now in its fifth season of Pac-12 play, the Utes are 37-47 overall against conference foes. Utah tallied its best record in the league play after posting a 13-5 record in 2014-15.
Utah is 26-15 all-time in Pac-12 games played at home and 11-32 in conference games played on the road.
DISHING WITH KUZMA
Sophomore Kyle Kuzma recorded a new career-high with seven assists in Utah's win over Washington on Wednesday. Kuzma's previous career-high was five assists, which he recorded back on Dec. 16 against Savannah State.
PASSING THE ROCK
Along with Kuzma's seven assists, Utah finished the game dishing out a total of 26 assists against Washington on Wednesday.
Utah's 26 assists are the most-ever recorded against a Pac-12 team since joining the league in 2011. Utah's previous high was a 23-assist effort against Oregon State back on Jan. 4, 2013.
The 26 assists are the most the team has recorded since posting 28 assists against Delaware State back on Dec. 22, earlier this season. Utah has dished out 20 assists or more in six games this season.
SHOOTING LIGHTS OUT
Utah shot a season-high .673 percent from the field on Wednesday, finishing the game with a 35-of-52 effort from the field. The last time a Utah team shot 67 percent or better from the field was back on Dec. 28, 2014, when the squad shot .671 from the field (49-of-73) against St. Katherine.
The .673 field goal percentage was Utah's best-ever against a Pac-12 team, surpassing the original high mark of .633 the team posted against Arizona State back on Feb. 26, 2015.
In addition, Utah shot a season-high .588 percent from downtown, going 10-of-17 from beyond the three-point line.
RECORD-SETTING POINTS IN PAC-12 PLAY
Utah set a school record for most points scored in a Pac-12 Conference game with its 96-point effort against Stanford back on Jan. 30.
Utah, who recorded its first 90-point game against a Pac-12 team back on Jan. 21 (Washington State, 92-71), has now scored 90-plus points in three games this season after pouring in 90 points against Washington on Wednesday.
The last time a Utah team scored 90-plus points against three conference opponents came back in 1994-95 when the Utes were a member of the Western Athletic Conference.
BACK IN THE SADDLE
Both senior Brandon Taylor and junior Lorenzo Bonam ended last Sunday's game with zero points, but both players snapped that skid, while leading the Utes to victory on Wednesday.
Bonam scored 18 points on 7-of-9 shooting and a 3-of-3 effort from the free throw line, while Taylor notched 15 points on 5-of-8 shooting and a 4-of-7 mark from downtown.
Both players also combined for 10 assists (Taylor 6; Bonam, 4) in the game.
REYES CREATING OFFENSE
Junior Chris Reyes wrapped up Utah's double-digit scoring with a 10-point effort off the bench on Wednesday. The 10 points are his second-most points scored against a conference opponent, following an 11-point effort, which also came against Washington back on Jan. 21, 2015.
COUNTDOWN TO VEGAS
With just six games left in the regular season, Utah currently sits in a three-way tie for fourth place in the conference standings (as of Friday, Feb. 12). The Utes are 7-5 in conference play and currently in a tie with both Washington and Colorado.
