BRISBANE, Qld. - Former Utah baseball player TJ Bennett helped lead the Brisbane Bandits to the Australian Baseball League Championship on Saturday evening.
In 25 games with the Bandits, Bennett hit .319 with 21 RBI, eight home runs and four doubles. He had a .708 slugging percentage. In game one of the championship series, Bennett went 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBI. Watch video from game one here:

Brisbane defeated the Adelaide Bite, 7-4 and 7-1 to win the championship.
Bennett, who played at Utah from 2013-14 after transferring from Mesa Community College, hit .258 with 51 RBI, four home runs five triples and 16 doubles during his time with the Utes. He led Utah as a senior with 31 RBI and was second on the team that year with a .277 batting average. Bennett has since played professionally for several independent teams.
