Former Utes Andrew Bogut (Team Australia) and Kim Tillie (Team France) closed out pool play this past weekend and both players will head to the knockout rounds beginning Wednesday, Aug. 17.
Bogut and Team Australia went 4-1 in pool play, picking up wins against France (87-66), Serbia (95-80), China (93-68) and Venezuela (81-56). Australia's only loss came to Team USA, a 98-88 defeat back on Aug. 10.

Bogut scored 15 points and had three blocks in the loss to USA. He did not play in the win over China, but closed out pool play with 17 points and six rebounds against Venezuela. In his four games of action in Rio, Bogut ranks second on the team with 13.0 points and leads Australia in both rebounds (5.8) and blocks (1.8).

Tillie and Team France closed out pool play with a 3-2 record after picking up wins against China (88-60), Serbia (76-75) and Venezuela (96-56). France dropped its first game of the Olympics to Australia (87-66) and then closed out pool play with a three-point loss to USA (100-97) on Sunday.

Tillie played in four games for France, averaging 2.5 points and 1.3 rebounds in his nine-plus minutes of action. He scored six points on 2-of-2 shooting from the field and 2-of-2 from the free throw line against USA.

Both Australia and France will learn its knockout round opponent following the conclusion of pool play on Monday.
