Former Utes, Andrew Bogut (playing with Team Australia) and Kim Tillie (playing for Team France), have both played a pair of contests in the 2016 Olympic Summer Games in Rio. Bogut and Team Australia is 2-0, while Tillie and Team France is 1-1.
Bogut scored nine points and posted a game-high 12 rebounds in Australia's opening-round win – an 87-66 victory over Tille and Team France this past Saturday. The big man showed his versatility in the games, going 1-for-1 from the three-point line. Tillie managed to score two points and tallied a pair of rebounds in the loss.
Australia defeated Serbia, 95-80, on Monday and Bogut finished second on the team with 18 points on 9-of-10 shooting from the field. He tallied five assists and had also posted one blocked shot.
Tillie and Team France rebounded from its loss on Saturday to down Team China, 88-60 on Monday. Tillie did not score any points in the contest, but did manage to grab one rebound.
Both Australia and France are matched in Pool A, along with Team USA. Australia will face Team USA on Wednesday before closing out pool play against China (Aug. 12) and Venezuela (Aug. 14).
Team France will face Serbia on Wednesday and will then close out the week against Venezuela (Aug. 12) and Team USA (Aug. 14).
