FAST BREAKS
• Utah completed the first half of Pac-12 play going 6-3 overall and is currently in a tie for third-place in league standings with both UCLA and California.
• With its victory over Oregon State this past Saturday, Utah won its 12th straight game following a loss to a Top-25 ranked team. The Utes fell to No. 10-ranked Oregon prior to its win over the Beavers.

Kyle Kuzma is coming off his 12th double-double of the season with 18 points and 12 rebounds against Oregon State. He is tied with Arizona State's Obinna Oleka for the league lead with his 12 double-doubles overall. His six double-doubles in Pac-12 play is also tied for the conference lead with California's Ivan Rabb.
• The Utes head into the week having converted 59.0 percent of its two-point field goal attempts, which ranks fifth in the nation according to KenPom.com. Only UCLA's 59.3 percent effort ranks better among Pac-12 teams.
THE GAME
The Utah Runnin' Utes (15-6, 6-3) head to the Bay Area for the first time this season for a pair of Pac-12 match-ups this week. The Utes will take on California (15-6, 6-3) this Thursday, Feb. 2, in Berkeley, Calif. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. PST at Haas Pavilion.
Utah will close out the week with an afternoon matinée at Stanford on Saturday, Feb. 4, in Palo Alto, Calif. The Utes and Cardinal are set to tip-off at 1:30 p.m. PST from Maples Pavilion.
COVERING THE RUNNIN' UTES
Thursday's contest will be televised live on Pac-12 Networks. Spero Dedes will call the action, while Don MacLean provides color commentary for the game.

LAST TIME OUT
Utah closed out the first half of Pac-12 play with an 86-78 home win against Oregon State this past Saturday.
• Utah shot .582 (32-of-55) from the floor, which included a .500 (8-of-16) effort from beyond the three-point line. It was the 14th time this season that the Utes have shot better than 50 percent from the field.
• Led by
Parker Van Dyke and
Lorenzo Bonam's four assists each, the Utes tallied 19 assists in the victory. Utah has tallied 15 assists or more in five of its first nine Pac-12 games so far.
• Van Dyke scored 11 points in the win - his first double-digit scoring effort since Dec. 6 - going 4-of-6 from the field and a perfect 3-of-3 from downtown.

David Collette scored 13 points on 6-of-7 shooting. He has scored double figures in all 11 games he has played for the Utes this season.

Kyle Kuzma led the Utes in scoring with 18 points. Kuzma tallied 15 points or more for the fifth straight game and for the 12th time overall.

Devon Daniels tied a season/career high with three steals in win.
• Utah's bench outscored OSU 36-10.
• The Utes led wire-to-wire for the fifth time this season.
SCOUTING CALIFORNIA
• California is coming off a 66-55 home win over Standford. The Golden Bears have won two straight and five of its past six games.
• All three of Cal's Pac-12 losses have come to AP Top-25-ranked teams (Arizona, UCLA and Oregon).
• The Golden Bears rank 10th in the league scoring 69.6 points per game, but lead the Pac-12 in scoring defense, yielding just 62.4 points to opposing squads - which ranks 15th overall in the nation.
• Cal's +7.9 rebounding margin ranks second in the league, only to Utah's +8.1 rebounding advantage.
• Cal is 12-2 at home on the season. They are 4-1 in conference play at Haas Pavilion.
SERIES HISTORY WITH THE GOLDEN BEARS
The Utes and Golden Bears split the season series last year, but Utah's 82-78 overtime win over Cal in the Pac-12 Tournament tied the all-time series at 13-13. Despite the road loss to Cal a season ago, Utah has won five of the last six meetings between the two teams.
Utah is 3-7 all-time when facing the Bears on the road. The Utes' last win at Haas Pavilion was a 63-59 victory back on March 5, 2014.
