The Utah baseball team enters its final weeks of fall practice, which culminate in a Fall World Series on Oct. 24, 26 and 27.
Â
"It's going good," Utah head coach
Bill Kinneberg said. "We have eight practices left and five of those will be scrimmage days. We still have some work to do as far as more game situations and pitching situations but things are starting to get more clear for everybody. I would say practice last week was very good."
Â
Kinneberg is pleased with how his younger pitchers are coming along.
Â
"Three of our freshmen pitchers have done a really nice job: Justin Kelly, Ian MacIver and Brett Brocoff," Kinneberg said. "They've all had their ups and downs, but they're good and they are going to be able to help us this year.
Braden DeBenedictis has played very well on the offensive side, so he's emerged as a potential guy for us. He is a redshirt freshman and we didn't know exactly where we were with him, and he's played very well. DaShawn [Keirsey, Jr.] is getting better and better, which is really good, and
Oliver Dunn is playing well."
