PALO ALTO, Calif. - The Utah baseball team dropped game three of its series against Stanford, 5-1 on Sunday afternoon.

Moeller had two of Utah's four hits on the day.
Dallas Carroll reached base three times with a hit and two walks.

Utah had its first base runner of the game in the fourth on a Carroll single and Moeller put Utah on the board in the fifth.
The Cardinal had runners on base in every inning. Stanford quickly broke the tie in the fifth after a pair of singles led to a sacrifice fly. The Cardinal increased its lead in the seventh with two runs on two hits and two errors, and added an insurance run in the eighth after two hits and an error.
Utah put two on with one out in the seventh after Carroll walked and Moeller singled but a pair of pop ups got out of the inning.
