SAN FRANCISCO - Utah sophomore
Chandler Anderson has been named as the Pac-12 Baseball Player of the Week for games between May 8-14, the league announced today.

Utah went 3-0 for the week in games against BYU and USC. Anderson hit .538 (7-of-13) for the week with multiple hits in each game, scoring five runs and driving in three runs. He hit his first career home run in a 3-for-5 performance against BYU, driving in three runs on the night. In game one against USC, he was 2-for-4 and scored a run. In game two of the series against the Trojans, Anderson went 2-for-4 and scored two runs, including the go-ahead run on a wild pitch in the bottom of the eighth inning.

It is Anderson's first career weekly honor and Utah's second this season, with
Hunter Simmons winning on Feb. 28.

Anderson is third on the team with a .327 batting average. He is 3-of-6 in stolen bases, has five doubles and 18 RBI.
