GREENSBORO, N.C. - Utah senior third baseman
Dallas Carroll has been selected to the 2017 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division I All-America team, announced today by the American Baseball Coaches Association. Carroll is a third-team selection.

Carroll, who was drafted in the ninth round of the 2017 MLB Draft by the Milwaukee Brewers, was an All-Pac-12 selection and named to the Pac-12 All-Defensive team this past season. He was one of the top hitters in the league this year, leading Utah and ranking in the top five in the Pac-12 in several major hitting categories. He led Utah and ranks fourth in the Pac-12 in batting average. Carroll is ranked second in the Pac-12 in slugging percentage (.591) and on-base percentage (.465) while ranking third in the Pac-12 in hits per game (1.43) and is fourth in the league in RBI (52).

Carroll started 188 career games at third base for the Utes. He is a two-time first-team All-Pac-12 selection (2016-17). Carroll had a career .311 batting average while at Utah with a .418 on-base percentage. He was also a three-time honorable mention Pac-12 All-Academic team pick.

Utah's last All-American was C.J. Cron in 2011. He is in his fourth season with the Los Angeles Angels.

Carroll is currently preparing to begin his professional career with the Helena Brewers.

The ABCA/Rawlings All-Americans are selected by the ABCA All-America committee. The ABCA, founded in 1945, is the primary professional organization for baseball coaches at the amateur level.
