Plenty of current and former Utah baseball players have been in action during the summer months, with several earning accolades.

Tanner Thomas helped the Valley Blue Sox win the New England Collegiate Baseball League Championship. He went 2-0 with a 2.08 ERA in 13 games with 38 strikeouts over the summer, including earning the win in the championship game.

Jacob Rebar was a first-team All-SoCal Collegiate Baseball League selection as the Palm Springs Power won the league championship. Rebar was also a midseason all-star. He went 3-0 on the summer with 52 strikeouts.

Davis Delorefice helped the Medford Rouges win the Great West League title. He hit .321 during the summer with 36 RBI and 12 doubles. Delorifice was named to the GWL All-Star team.

Josh Tedeschi was an honorable mention All-West Coast League selection for Yakima Valley. He went 2-3 with one save, a 5.03 ERA and 42 strikeouts.Â
One player who has not played this summer but is coming along in his recovery from an injury suffered in the final game of the season is
DaShawn Keirsey, Jr. He is back on campus and continues to follow up with the medical staff, but he is walking unassisted and is making tremendous progress.

The Utah Marshalls, featuring newcomers Matt Richardson, Shea Kramer, Justin Kelly, Chris Rowan and Ashton Goddard, won the Phil Singer Championship and went 70-11 for the summer.

Three of Utah's four 2017 MLB draftees have begun their careers in the pros.
Dallas Carroll began his season with the rookie league Helena Brewers and was a Pioneer League All-Star before being promoted to the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers. He was named the Pioneer League Player of the Week on July 23. Carroll hit .336 over 30 games in Helena and is currently hitting .286 in Wisconsin.
Riley Ottesen was also promoted from the rookie league, going from the Arizona League Dodgers to the Great Lakes Loons.
Jayson Rose is with the Helena Brewers and
Andre Jackson continues to recover from Tommy John surgery.

C.J. Cron has been strong in the month of August for the Los Angeles Angels, hitting .305 with five home runs and 12 RBI.

Tanner Banks was named as a Carolina League All-Star with Winston Salem, and was the Carolina League Pitcher of the Week on June 18 before being promoted to the Double-A Birmingham Barons.

Utah has 11 total players in the major league system, which includes Tyler Wagner (AAA Round Rock Express), Trey Nielsen (AA Springfield Cardinals), Parker Morin (on a rehab assignment in the Kansas City Royals organization), T.J. Bennett (AA Richmond Flying Squirrels) and Bret Helton (A Advanced Bradenton Marauders).
