THE GAME
The Utah Runnin' Utes (10-7, 2-4) returns home to host both Washington schools this week. Utah will take on the Washington Huskies this Thursday, Jan. 18, with a tip-off set for 8 p.m. inside the Huntsman Center. The Utes will wrap-up its two-game home swing hosting the Washington State Cougars on Sunday, Jan. 21, with a tip-off set for 6 p.m.

COVERING THE RUNNIN' UTES
Thursday's contest will be carried on the Pac-12 Networks, while Sunday's contest will be aired live on ESPNU. J.B Long will have the call on Thursday with Dan Belluomini providing color commentary. Sunday's contest against the Cougars will have Roxy Bernstein calling the action and Corey Williams providing color commentary.

LAST TIME OUT
Utah dropped a pair of contests in the Los Angeles area this past weekend, falling 83-64 this past Friday to the UCLA Bruins and then dropping a road contest, 84-67, to the USC Trojans on Sunday. In addition to being swept on the road and Utah's pair of losses to the Arizona schools the week prior, this marks the first time that the Utes have dropped four-straight Pac-12 games since the 2012-13 season.
The Utes shot better than 46 percent from the field, while yielding just a 47 percent effort from the Bruins and Trojans combined, but both L.A. squads tallied a 50 percent effort from three-point range. UCLA and USC combined to drain 26 of its 52 total attempts, while Utah shot just 34 percent from beyond the arc.
Utah's free throw percentage dipped just a bit this past weekend as well, as the Utes shot a collective 67 percent from the charity stripe. The Utes were out-rebounded in both contests.

SCOUTING WASHINGTON
The Huskies have won six of its past eight games, but are coming off a home loss to Stanford (73-64) this past weekend. UW is 13-5 overall on the season, which includes a 74-65 win over then No. 2 Kansas in Kansas City, Mo., back on Dec. 6. UW is 3-2 early on in conference play, which includes a 2-1 record when playing on the road. Jaylen Nowell leads UW with 16.7 points per game. He is averaging right at 16.2 points per game though his first five Pac-12 games this season. Noah Dickerson leads the team on the boards with 7.6 rebounds per game, while Matisse Thybulle leads his squad and the Pac-12 Conference with 56 total steals on the season. The Huskies shoot 47 percent from the field, 34 percent from three-point range and 68 percent from the charity stripe.

SERIES HISTORY WITH THE HUSKIES
Utah has won four straight and seven of the previous eight meetings against the Huskies. The Utes lead the all-time series 13-9, which includes a 7-2 record when playing in Salt Lake City. Utah has not dropped a home game to Washington since the 2012 season – a span of four straight wins for the Utes since 2014.

The Utes are back on the road next week and will open a three-game road swing taking on the Arizona State Sun Devils next Thursday, Jan. 25. Tip-off between the Utes and Sun Devils is set for 7:30 p.m. MT at Wells Fargo Arena in Tempe, Ariz.
