Below, Sean answers a few more questions:
Â
Why did you choose Utah and what other schools were recruiting you?
SB: I chose Utah for many reasons. I was originally committed to Baylor, then my sister moved to Salt Lake City and after visiting a few times, I was hooked on Utah. I committed to Utah because the coaching staff really made me feel at home and the competition the Utes play is as good as it gets. The school and the state of Utah also really hooked me with it being so nice and all the amazing scenery. The University of Utah is the dream spot for me. I had been recruited previously by Baylor, Texas, Oklahoma St., Oklahoma, TCU, and UL Lafayette.
Â
Who has been the most influential person or people in your life and why?
SB: The most influential person in my life has been my Dad. He's been a great example for me day in and day out of what I want to be when I grow up. He's also taught me lots of things about the game of baseball and life itself. I couldn't ask for a better dad and he couldn't do a better job of molding me into a great young man. And I guess my sister Morgan as well considering I didn't know anything about Utah until she moved here. I am very glad she did.
Â
What is your favorite baseball memory so far?
SB: My favorite baseball memory is my junior season at Argyle HS. We went 37-0 and won a state championship and were announced as National Champions by Perfect Game and the four major baseball ranking organizations. It was an unbelievable season, something I'll never forget.
Â
What are you most excited about in playing baseball for the Utes?
SB: I'm extremely excited to play for the school and the amazing coaching staff here at Utah. I am also really looking forward to playing in the PAC-12 conference with its rich history. I am excited to come to Utah, progress and become the best player I can be. Â
Â
What goals do you have while in college as well as after college?
SB: My goals at the University of Utah are to graduate with a major in Entrepreneurship and minor in Finance. I also want to develop and be the best player I can be and contribute to the team as much as I can. I also look to play baseball beyond my college career if I'm blessed enough to get that opportunity.
