Â
Utah finished the game shooting 50 percent from the field, knocking down 28-of-56 shots on the night. It was the first time the Utes finished a game shooting at least 50 percent from the field since registering a 51 percent effort against Utah State back earlier this season on Dec. 9.

Â
SCOUTING CALIFORNIA
The Golden Bears are coming off a 68-64 loss to Colorado at Coors Events Center this past Wednesday. Cal led by as many as seven points late in the first half, but shot just 36 percent from the field, while giving up a 50 percent effort to the Buffs.
Â
Cal is just 2-10 in Pac-12 play on the season. The Bears defeated Oregon State back on Feb. 3, but prior to the victory, Cal had dropped nine straight since opening conference play with a win over Stanford. The Bears went 6-7 overall in non-conference games and bring a combined record of 8-17 into Saturday's contest at the Huntsman Center.

Don Coleman leads Cal with a 16.0 points per game average and Justice Sueing following scoring 13.8 points per game. Marcus Lee ranks third on the team with 12.5 points per game, but leads the squad with a 7.8 rebounds per game average. Kingsley Okoroh has a team-high 51 blocked shots and Lee follows with 45 blocks on the season. Cal is the only team in the league that has two players with at least 45 blocked shots each.
Â
Cal ranks second as a team in the Pac-12 with 5.0 blocks per contest, while there 125 total blocks ranks first in the Pac-12 and 20th in the nation. The team ranks first in the league with 600 free throw attempts, but are 12 out 12 teams in the league with a .678 percentage from the charity stripe.
Â
SERIES HISTORY WITH THE BEARS
Cal leads the all-time series by the slimmest of margins, 15-14, but Utah has won three of the past five meetings and six of the previous nine overall. Saturday's contest will mark the only regular-season meeting between two teams that have met six times over the previous two seasons. Cal won the season series last season, 2-1, after defeating the Utes in the second round of the Pac-12 Tournament. Utah won the series 2-1 in 2015-16.
Â
Utah is 8-5 all-time when facing the Bears at home, which includes having won the previous three meetings. The last time a Cal team won in Salt Lake City was back on Jan. 24, 2013.
Â
#BLOCKU
Utah registered a season-high 10-blocked shots in its win over Stanford on Thursday. It marked the first time since Nov. 27, 2015, that a Utah team registered at least 10 blocks in a game (10, vs. Idaho State).

David Collette both tied career-highs with three blocks each, while
Chris Seeley set a new career-high with two blocked shots in the game. Johnson totaled three blocks for the third time in his career, while Collette tallied three blocked shots in a game for the fifth time in his career.
Â
