SAN FRANCISCO – The Utah baseball team had four student-athletes named to the Pac-12 All-Academic track and field teams, announced today by the conference office.

The Utes had two second team selections in seniors
Wade Gulden and
Tanner Thomas. Gulden has a 3.57 grade point average and is majoring in Parks, Recreation and Tourism. Thomas, who earned his bachelor's in business administration and is working towards a master's in public health, has a 3.49 grade point average. Both players earned honorable mention honors last season.

Earning honorable mention honors was senior
Josh Lapiana and junior
Chandler Anderson. Lapiana is a two-time honorable mention all-academic honoree while Anderson has also been named to the team twice, earning second team accolades last year. Lapiana is a communications major while Anderson is majoring in business administration.

To be eligible for selection to the all-academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade point average and be either a starter or significant contributor.
