Utes to Celebrate 125 Seasons of Football

Patches, merchandise and videos to commemorate Utah’s 125th football season
SALT LAKE CITY—The University of Utah will celebrate 125 seasons of Utah football this fall and the fanfare will include a commemorative patch on the jerseys, a video series highlighting each decade of football at the U. and special insignia merchandise.
The patch that will adorn the players' jerseys incorporates two logos—the iconic Utah Stripe and the circle and feather—affixed to an outline of the state of Utah along with the words 125 Years of Utah Football. At every home game this fall, a highlight video of each decade of Utah football will be played on the big screen.
Some of the 125-year merchandise is already available at Red Zone stores and online and more pieces will be added leading up to and throughout the season. The Utah Red Zone stores will run a promotion—starting at the Fan Fest on Aug. 18—offering a free 125-year patch with the purchase of any hat.
