Utah (7-8, 1-2 Pac-12) will wrap-up the week hosting the Washington State Cougars (7-8, 0-2 Pac-12) on Saturday, Jan. 12. The Utes and Cougars are set to tip-off 6 p.m. MT.

COVERING THE RUNNIN' UTES
Thursday and Saturday's contests will both air on the Utah Athletics Radio Network (ESPN 700 AM) with Bill Riley and
Jimmy Soto announcing. Thursday's game will be televised on Fox Sports 1 with Aaron Goldsmith calling the action and Steve Lavin providing color commentary. Saturday's match-up will be televised on the Pac-12 Networks with Guy Haberman calling play-by-play and Matt Muelhebach serving as an analyst.

SCOUTING WASHINGTON STATE
The Cougars are 7-8 overall and are coming off a 92-60 loss to Colorado on Thursday. WSU has dropped five straight with its last win coming against Southern Illinois-Edwardsville back on Dec. 19, 2018.

The Cougars are 0-4 in true road games this season and 0-7 overall in games played away from Pullman. The 0-4 road record includes the 0-2 mark in Pac-12 road contests.

Robert Franks leads both WSU and the Pac-12 with 22.1 points per game, but the senior has not played since the Cougars' loss to New Mexico State on Dec. 23. He also leads the team with 7.9 rebounds per game. CJ Elleby ranks second on the team in both scoring (15.7 ppg) and rebounds (7.3 rpg). He has tallied a team-best 110 total rebounds and 11 blocked shots on the year. Ahmed Ali has registered a team-high 45 assists.

The Cougars are shooting .466 from the field overall, .354 from beyond the three-point line and .740 from the charity stripe. They rank among the top-55 teams in the nation with 15.3 assists per game and their 79.7 points per game is top-50 in the nation overall.

UTAH vs. WASHINGTON STATE SERIES HISTORY
The Utes and Cougars have met 27 different times since 1938 with Utah leading the overall series 23-4. The Utes have won nine straight overall, which includes a 16-game winning streak over WSU with games played in Salt Lake City. Utah's last defeat to WSU was a 49-46 loss back on Jan. 12, 2014, in Pullman.

Utah is 10-2 against WSU since joining the Pac-12 Conference. That mark includes a 6-0 record when playing the Cougars inside the Huntsman Center.

LAST TIME OUT
The Utes dropped its Pac-12 home-opener, falling to the Washington Huskies 69-53 Thursday night at the Huntsman Center. Utah shot a season-low .333 (20-60) from the field and were just 6-of-30 (.200) from three-point range. The Huskies, after shooting just .378 from the field in the first half, would register a .464 effort in the second half.

Donnie Tillman added 10 points on the evening. It was Tillman's third-straight game to score in double-figures – the first time he has tallied 10 points or more in a three-game stretch since a seven-game run early in the season last year. Freshman
Timmy Allen pulled down a season-high 11 rebounds, which also marked the first time he has posted double-digit boards in a game. He also tied for the team lead with five assists, sharing the team-high statistic with Barefield.

Utah out-rebounded the Huskies 44-38, and scored 14 second-chance points on the night, but UW countered as they forced 16 Utah turnovers that led to 18 points.

Utah will remain at home next week, but with just one contest on the schedule, hosting Colorado next Sunday, Jan. 20. The Utes and Buffs are scheduled to tip-off at 4 p.m. from the Huntsman Center.
