• Utah's win over Stanford last Thursday was the first time the Utes had won in Palo Alto, dating back to 1971. It is the program's first-ever win over the Cardinal at Maples Pavilion since joining the Pac-12 Conference.
• Sedrick Barefield drained three, three-pointers in Utah's game against Oregon on Thursday, moving him into sole possession of 10th place on Utah's all-time career three-pointers made list. He now has 146 made three-pointers in his three seasons with the Utes.

Utah (11-9, 5-3 Pac-12) will close out its two-game home stand this week with a mid-afternoon matinée against Oregon State this Saturday, Feb. 2. Tip-off between the Utes and Beavers is set for 3 p.m. MT at the Huntsman Center.

Saturday's contests will air on the Utah Athletics Radio Network (ESPN 700 AM) with Bill Riley and
Jimmy Soto announcing. The contest with Oregon State will be aired live on the Pac-12 Networks with Guy Haberman providing play-by-play and Matt Muelhebach serving as the color commentator.
SCOUTING OREGON STATE
Oregon State, who opened up its Mountain-swing road trip with a 76-74 win at Colorado on Thursday, heads into the weekend with a 13-7 overall record and a 5-3 mark in Pac-12 play ... just as Oregon did, the Beavers split its match-ups last weekend, downing Washington State (90-77), but then falling to Washington (79-69) at home ... despite having dropped three of the past five, OSU did manage to open Pac-12 play with three consecutive wins (at Oregon, vs. USC, vs. UCLA) ... OSU shoots .469 from the field, .329 from three-point range and .732 from the charity stripe ... Tres Tinkle leads the team averaging 20.2 points and 8.2 rebounds per game ... he is netting 20.9 points per game in eight Pac-12 games so far ... Kylor Kelly ranks first on the team, first in the Pac-12 and second in the nation with 71 blocked shots (3.68/game) ... his blocked shots, coupled with a pair of players having posted double-digit blocks, gives OSU 109 total blocks on the year, which ranks 12th in the nation ... the team's 5.6 blocked shots per game ranks 8th in the nation.
UTAH vs. OREGON STATE SERIES HISTORY
Utah has won six of the past eight meetings, but both squads have split the last four meetings, giving Utah an 18-12 advantage in the series. Utah won the only meeting between the two teams last season, downing the Beavers 66-64 in Corvallis. Utah is 13-1 all-time when facing the Beavers in Salt Lake City, having won four straight overall and the only loss coming back on Feb. 4, 2012. Notably, Utah and Oregon State have met on a neutral court just two time, with Utah winning both (1966 and 1997). Utah and Oregon State have yet to meet each other in a neutral court setting since the Utes joined the Pac-12 Conference in 2011-12.
LAST TIME OUT
Utah dropped a Pac-12 Conference home contest to the Oregon Ducks on Thursday, falling 78-72. Utah led throughout the first 14 minutes of the game, but Oregon flew past Utah with a 22-4 run to end the first half and never looked back on the way to the six-point victory.
Sedrick Barefield and
Donnie Tillman led the way with 16 points each, while
Timmy Allen totaled 13 points and
Jayce Johnson chipped in with 11 points. Johnson set a new season-high with 13 boards, while also registering the second double-double of the season and the third of his career. Tillman was 4-of-5 from three-point range and ranked second on the team with six rebounds. Barefield led the way with five assists on the evening.

Utah will be back in action the road, as the team heads to SoCal next week to face both USC (Feb. 6) and UCLA (Feb. 9). Utah's contest against the Trojans will tip-off at 8 p.m. PT, while its match-up with UCLA is slated to begin at 2 p.m. PT.
