Utah opens Pac-12 play with a three-game series against Cal. The Utes have won three series in a row against the Golden Bears in Salt Lake City
 
UTAH NOTES
- Over the last two weekends, Ally Dickman is hitting .517, slugging .966 with three home runs. She hit the game-winning homer in extra innings at Hawaii on Tuesday night and has a nine-game hit streak
 
- The win over UH was Utah's first in extra innings since 3/25/16 vs. Arizona.
 
- Katie Faulk has hit four home runs over the last two weekends to take the team lead. She hit .357 in Hawaii with a .643 slugging percentage
 
- Julia Noskin has registered multiple hits in 10 contests this season and had a career-high four knocks against the Rainbow Wahine. She ranks fourth in the Pac-12 in batting average (.418) and fifth in total hits (33)
 
- With seven home runs in Honolulu, Utah ranks fourth in the Pac-12 with 19 blasts
 
- Utah has turned 15 double plays, the most in the Pac-12 and ninth nationally
 
- Noskin and BreOnna Castaneda have combined for 114 assists, 17 more than any other combo in the conference.
 
- Newcomer Sydney Sandez's 18 appearances are tops in the Pac-12. Teammate Chantelle Ladner is fifth with 14 outings
 
- Utah's pitchers limited opponents to a .191 batting average in five games last weekend and registered a 1.75 team ERA
 
NOSKIN A NAME TO REMEMBER
Julia Noskin was named to the Pac-12 All-Freshmen Team in 2018. She hit .310 and led the team in runs (31), walks (15) and on-base percentage (.395). Her numbers increased in conference play as she led Utah in total hits and batted .333 with a .455 on-base percentage.
 
The Calabasas, California native played every game for Utah, starting 47 in left field, and moved into the leadoff spot for the final 27 games of the season where she hit .473. Noskin had 11 multi-hit games and reached base in 11 straight Pac-12 games.
 
BARRERA BACK FOR UTES
Alyssa Barrera, named to the 2018 USA Softball Player of the Year "Watch List", also made the short list of finalists for the 2017 Schutt Sports/NFCA Division I National Freshman of the Year award.
 
Last season, she hit .322 in 2018, the second-best average on the team. As a freshman, she ranked sixth in the Pac-12 and led the Utes with 46 runs scored.
 
She was also named to the All-Pac-12 Second Team and All-Freshman Team.
 
This past weekend, she hit .615, extending her hitting streak to seven games, and drove in eight runs, tops on the team. With 26 hits, she ranks 15th in the Pac-12 and has collected 14 RBI over the last two weekends.
